Health Funds
If you have extras cover it will most probably cover Osteopathic treatment, to be sure please check with your health fund
Medicare
If you have a chronic condition Medicare will partially pay for up to 5 treatments under Chronic Diseases Management (CDM), to access this you will have to talk to your GP who will be able to do the necessary paperwork, he must specify Osteopath as the treatment provider.
Referrals
A referral is not necessary as Osteopaths are primary contact practitioners. However, if you require treatment under Workcover or MVA insurance you will need a referral from your GP before you can claim.
